Since its founding in 1988, airoolite GmbH has been offering a comprehensive customer-oriented and innovative all-round service. Today, airoolite GmbH and its subsidiaries are developing and producing their own THERMOSTAR® semi-finished products as well as machined precision parts and GRP/CFRP components for machine and plant construction on over 4,000 m² of factory space.
Our business activities are spread amongst two locations, i.e. the head office of airoolite GmbH in Kreuztal and another location in Kirchhundem.
Company history
- 1988 Founding of elisto Elektroisolierstoffe GmbH by Klaus-Dieter Nies
- 1988 Opening of the first production facility in Limburg, 1,000 m²
- 1995 Start of a new area of business: thermal insulation with the THERMOSTAR® brand
- 1997 Relocation of production to the new location in Diez, 3,000 m²
- 2006 Opening of the additional production facility in Kreuztal, 2,000 m²
- 2007 Additional warehouse in Limburg, 1,500 m²
- 2011 Opening of a new logistics centre in Hilchenbach, 2,000 m²
- 2015 Relocation of the R & D department to Kirchhundem
- 2021 Spin-off of the thermal insulation division to airoolite
- 2022 Foundation of airoolite GmbH and renaming of the business division
- 2023 Merger of all business divisions into airoolite GmbH
